Why this page exists and other important information
Why does this exist?
We believe in open development and user-centred design, so everyone can see what weโre building next.

Have ideas or feedback?
Weโd love your feedback on our plans and your experience with the Registry or general โsafe peopleโ processes.
Are there any tasks or processes that feel frustrating, inefficient, or unnecessarily complex?
Is there functionality you would expect to see but canโt currently find?
Are there opportunities to streamline your workflow or save you time?
What could the Registry do differently to better support you in your role?
Your feedback will help us prioritise improvements and ensure we're focusing on the areas that matter most to our users.

Willing to test or talk to us about features?
We regularly conduct user research to better understand how people currently or could use the Registry, and where improvements can be made. This may involve activities such as setting users tasks and watching how they navigate the software (usability testing), collecting ideas from a group on a given feature (workshop), or simply asking about peopleโs experiences in their everyday work (interviews). These activities help us ensure the Registry remains useful, intuitive and valuable for its users.

Interpreting the roadmap
Key points
We do Agile development, which means priorities can change. Decisions are driven by user needs, research findings and pragmatism. We learn, adapt, refine, or sometimes even remove planned work altogether.
Priority is in the hierarchy - we are currently working on items at the top, while items at the bottom will be looked at later, and are thus more likely to change based on our Agile approach.
How to read the roadmap
Milestone: This is how we organise significant pieces of work. For example, โKey Features for Custodiansโ are a group of features that will make a profound difference for the majority of data custodians on our system.
Description: This is the actual feature we are working on. Weโve done our best to write this succinctly in a way that makes sense to anyone looking at or more likely using the system. Please get in touch if anything is unclear and/or youโd like to learn more!
Initiative: A theme of activity that groups related features. Examples include easy onboarding, bonus benefits, and helping improve validation practices across the community. Initiatives are generally long-term and not tied to specific timelines.
